GALLIVAN CENTER - Downtown Salt Lake City - Located between Main and State Streets on 2nd South. The ice rink is open for public skating every day of the week but may be closed occasionally because of special events or inclement weather, so we encourage all potential skaters and party goers to Visit Their Site or call the Ice Rink Information hotline before coming down. Visit Gallivan Center's Website All children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if they want to skate at the Gallivan rink. Ice Rink Hours of Operation, Mid November thru February 28th, depending on weather Monday - Thursday, 4pm to 10 pm Friday - Saturday, Noon to Midnight Sunday, Noon to 7 pm Admission prices ( Pricing includes skate rental ) Adults $12.00, Seniors $11.00 Children 12 and Under: $10.00 Parking & Transportation: Paid parking underneath the center or at various street locations. Utah's Largest Outdoor Skating Rink Is Open - Millcreek Common Skate Loop Ice Skating in the Salt Lake Valley, the Skate Loop in Millcreek is specially designed to magically transform from a summertime roller skating rink to a crystal flaked ice skating rink in the winter. The Skate Loop @ Millcreek Common Plaza - Open Daily December 1st Thru March 2024. Located Appx. 3200 South between 1300 East and Highland Drive. It is open to the public for a small fee. County Ice Center - (801) 270-7280 5201 Murray park, Murray Utah 84107 SLC Sports Complex - (801) 583-9713 645 Guardsman Way, Salt Lake City Utah 84109 Tubing: Woodward Resort just off of I-80 before the main exit to Park City and is across the road from Jeremy Ranch. One of the oldest family winter traditions is easier than ever! Equipped with a conveyor lift to transport tubers back up the hill, and groomed lanes, Woodward Park City Tubing is the place for pure family fun. Tubing @ Soldier Hollow in Midway Utah Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park near Midway offers the longest tubing lanes in Utah. The hill has lengthy 1,200-foot sliding lanes with lift service for towing people up the hill for tubing day or night under the lights, and a sound system keeps the airwaves full of enjoyable tunes. Cross-Country Skiing @ Soldier Hollow in Midway Utah Chosen "Best Olympics Legacy Venue" in Best of Utah 2004. Ski on our new easy trails or challenge yourself on Olympic courses. We have immaculately groomed trails for first timers, cross over downhill skiers and expert skaters or classic 'striders'. After cruising trails like Pony Express and Spin and Grin (or free falling on the banked turns of Rollercoaster), settle in by the soaring fireplace in our award winning Lodge. White Pine Cross-Country Ski Area Located on the Park City Golf Course in the heart of the old mining town, White Pine features18 kilometers of groomed track that is ideal for all abilities. Lessons for beginners and advanced skiers are available daily. Full and half-day ski and snowshoe tours to the Uinta Mountains are also available. Cross-Counrty Skiing at Norwegian Outdoor Exploration Center The Exploration Center offers guided cross-country skiing nature tours. All tours are custom-designed and private, and include transportation, rentals, water, and experienced guides. Early reservations recommended, and lunches are optional. Cross-Counrty Skiing at The Homestead Resort The Homestead Resort operates 12 kilometers of cross-country skiing at the Homestead Golf Course, and 18 kilometers at Wasatch Mountain State Park. The rugged peaks of the mountains and the beautiful, pastoral setting of the Heber Valley define each of the courses. Snowshoeing @ Soldier Hollow in Midway Utah For those wishing to traverse the Olympic trails at a slower pace, or for those wanting to explore another aspect of Soldier Hollow, or for a nature photographer capturing the raptors or moose that frequent Soldier Hollow, snowshoeing is a great alternative to skiing. Snowshoe along the edges of the groomed trail network, follow single track trails to vantage points like the Crows's Nest, or forge your own trail - its all available at Soldier Hollow. A trail pass is $5 adults, $3 youth. And rentals are available for $5. Snowshoeing in Utah Utah Skiing.org's Official Guide! Some of the Best Snowshoe trails throughout Salt Lake, Park City and all of the Wasatch Range. Northern Utah Cross-Country Ski Options Green Canyon Trail, starts at the mouth of Green Canyon, on the eastern edge of North Logan City in Cache Valley, Utah, offers 5 K (one way) of groomed classic and skate skiing through the scenic and non-motorized Green Canyon, and ends at the Green Canyon yurt. The trail is open to the public, free to use, and groomed by Nordic United, a Cache Valley not-for-profit in partnership with North Logan City and the U.S. Forest Service. Trail information and grooming reports on current trail conditions are available on Nordic United's Official Website Beaver Bottoms Trail, along Utah Highway 243 in Cache County, Utah, offers 5 K of groomed classic and skate skiing through gentle meadows and forests near the base of Beaver Mountain ski resort. The trail is open to the public, free to use, and groomed by Nordic United, a Cache Valley not-for-profit.
